About Us

Founded in 1983 as a fabrication & machine shop, Mechano Engineering Company (MEC) is involved in the manufacturing of large, high precision components.  MEC caters to the heavy engineering manufacturing requirement of the Power Sector (Thermal & Hydro), Defense, Construction and Process Industries.

With two manufacturing units located in Peenya Industrial Area, Bangalore (one of the well-developed Industrial Suburbs of Asia) and housed with a range of specialized equipment, MEC is well to handle all kinds components ranging from manufacturing new equipment, assembly of entire machinery and refurbishment activities as requirement by the client.

With over a 120 strong work force and supervisory staff, conversant with various standards and engineering practices, and with a unique combination of equipment, MEC has established itself as a one-stop shop for manufacturing solutions in mechanical engineering.

A competent QA / QC department reporting directly to the top management ensures quality products are produced each and every time. In-house inspection facilities are available for all major inspection requirements. MEC have tie-ups with reputed external agencies exists for various Non-Destructive Testing like radiography, ultrasonic testing and magnetic particle testing. All in-housing measuring instruments are periodically calibrated by approved agencies. We are constantly adding / upgrading our infrastructure to meet the increased requirements of our esteemed clients.

MEC is a strategic supplier to Triveni Turbines Limited (TTL) and Andritz Hydro Private Limited (AHPL). We are also approved vendors for various reputed government and private organizations like Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Central Manufacturing Technology Institute (CMTI), Toshiba JSW Power Systems Limited, Signode, Crompton Greaves Limited (CGL) and Desmet Ballestra India among others.
