Roll, Cylindrical and Surface grinding machines are available for finishing operations. The Roll and Cylindrical Grinders are periodically checked to ensure run-outs of less than 10 microns over the entire length.

The surface grinding machine is equipped with a 400 mm x 4000 mm magnetic table and flatness and parallelism of 0.015 mm can be achieved.

Various capacity lathes are available for machining of shafts up to 8 meters in length.

High Precision turning of Steam Turbines Rotors, Power and Hydro Generator Shafts, Axial and Radial Fan Shafts, Wind Turbine Shafts, etc are machined on these lathes.

One of the lathes is retro-fitted with Sinumerik 802 D CNC system with 2 axis Siemens encoder and can take up jobs of 2000 mm swing over bed and 4000 admit between centers weighing up to 25 tons.

This machine is ideally suited for machining of one-end large flange type shafts, heavy-duty steel mill rolls, large turbine, and alternate rotors, etc.

These lathes are periodically maintained and calibrated for accuracy and run-out needs of the jobs.

For drilling and tapping needs, each unit is equipped with two radial drilling machines of different capacities. There are tapping attachments available to tap up to M64 and some of these machines are alongside large pits to accommodate different components.

There is also a high precision coordinate drilling machine (KOLB make) that is available for the manufacture of drill Jigs/Fixtures and precision drilling operations. The machine is fully hydraulic and Ball screws and DRO.

For turning of Large Housings, Turbine Casings (steam & exhaust), Stator Frames for generators, Motor Bodies, etc, VTLs are ranging from a swing dia of 1400 mm to 6400 mm.

All these machines have infinitely variable A/C drives for the table and are fitted with DROs for X & Y axis for both the heads (RAM & TURRET).
